When the sun goes down, a completely different Miyakojima wakes up. Flashlights in hand, you'll explore the island's subtropical night with a guide who trained in the Amazon, searching for nocturnal creatures — including the endangered giant coconut crab. On clear nights, the star-filled sky is a highlight all by itself.
This is an easy walking tour, open to everyone from babies (age 0) to grandparents — three-generation families join all the time. It lasts about 90 minutes, and photos of your night adventure are included free. Children 3 and under join free of charge.
